My Journey
My name is Heather and I am married to an amazing man that supports my teacherpreneur journey. I am a mother of four grown up kids and two fur babies. My hobbies are saltwater fishing, quilting, creating teacher resources, and COFFEE!
I began designing Teachers Pay Teachers (Fiddleheads) resources in 2013. With about 15 resources in my store, I left it alone until January 2018. Slowly, I started to add more products and improve my store. It was not until the 2018 Nashville conference when things really started to take off for my TpT business.
The 2018-2019 school year was a particularly hard year. I was battling a few medical issues and was given a class of documented behavioral and academically low students. I was told, “I know you can handle them. If you can’t get them to read, no one can. Take it as a compliment.” Needless to say, I started pouring my heart into my TpT resources. And after 12 years of teaching in the classroom, I retired in 2019.
In 2019, I attended the TpT conference and realized that I really wanted to start supporting other teacher authors. My goal is to launch The Edupreneur Cafe Podcast by 2021. I will also launch my first course, The Ultimate Boom Card™ Designer Course in June 2021. I can’t wait to help teachers and teacherpreneurs on their journey. Be sure to stay tuned!
